  • Title: Barback (Part-time)
    AVAILABILITY ON NEW YEAR’S EVE 12/31 REQUIRED

    Position Summary:
    The Barback is responsible for providing support in all areas of service operations. An innate sense of urgency, ability to anticipate needs, and a "roll up your sleeves" attitude is required. This position works closely with the management and entire bar service team.

    Essential Functions:
    - Handles all preparations required for bar service, including garnishes, juices, syrups; organizing, restocking, and moving liquor inventory; etc.
    - Keeps back-of-house areas, patron service areas, and restrooms clean. Ensures that all tasks are completed in compliance with NYC Dept of Health standards.
    - Bus glassware, often while asserting your way through large crowds in a loud nightclub environment.
    - Assists in providing friendly and efficient customer service, working in tandem with bartenders to build clientele; escalates inquiries to bartenders or management when necessary.
    - Works in collaboration with the entire bar and security team to ensure the smooth operation of our events. Monitors customer interactions in accordance with our safety protocols and communicates any potential concerns with the team.
    - Completes barback closing checklist independently, efficiently, and with care to detail.
    - Other duties related to supporting varying areas of service operations, as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    - Must be available for a mix of weekdays and weekends, along with holidays; hours for shifts will range between 7:30 pm-4:30 am. Available to work on New Year’s Eve 12/31/24 REQUIRED.
    - Work 2-3 days per week, with coverage shifts available as needed.
    - Previous bar or food service experience, preferred.
    - Team player; takes initiative and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
    - This is an extremely physically strenuous role; must have the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
    - Comfortable working in a loud, crowded, nightclub environment.
    - Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on your feet for extended periods of time.
    - Excellent communication and customer service skills with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Pay Rate:
    Hourly plus tips, approximately $20-$45/hr after tips, W-2 position
